Whether you’ve watched the Great Gatsby or not, you’ve at least heard about this classic and iconic style. The Great Gatsby is a book written by F. Scott Fitzgerald. It’s about a millionaire by the name of Jay Gatsby who lived on Long Island back in 1922. His style was known to depict the glamorous lifestyle of the 20’s. So when I think “Gatsby”, pearls, feathers, geometric design, flappers, etc come to mind. This styled shoot has all of that and then some!
I had the pleasure of working with Becca Carrigan (owner of Glamour and Grind) and a handful of amazing vendors to make this Modern Gatsby shoot come to life. It was not only beautiful but so tastefully done. These vendors spared no expense and Becca put everything into making this dream become a reality.
The shoot took place at the Jacksonville Public Library Downtown. Did you know that the Main Jacksonville Public Library was originally a small public reading room that was built back in 1878, destroyed by the Great Fire in 1901 and then rebuilt in 1905? You can read more about the history of this building here.
This is such a versatile and beautiful space. Photographers were able to utilize most of this venue from the main lobby to the courtyard to the conference center. Seriously photo ops galore! You will not be disappointed when touring this space.
Below are just a few of the photos taken while at this shoot. Also, I love to promote others and their talents. So don’t forget to check out the vendors below and take a meander through all of their amazing work! Thank you to everyone who made this happen. You guys are rockstars!
